Trader Joe's Lemon Bars

We bought these wonderful lemon bars from Trader Joe's on impulse:

There are 12 in a box, and they would make a great dessert for if you have company.

You take them out of the box and let them thaw.

And then their tart deliciousness is ready to be eaten.

Overcast Beach Weekend

We had an overnight in Fire Island this weekend.  The weather was overcast and windy on the beach.  Despite not getting to enjoy some heat, the beauty and the power of the ocean is always appreciated.

Recent Randomness

I have been pretty bad about blogging lately; so here's some random recent items:

Pretty breakfast platter - poppy seed bagel, sunnyside up eggs, salmon, swiss cheese, and avocado.

We got a second t.v. for the bedroom and a Roku box; so now I can watch t.v. in bed with my grays.  I highly recommend the Roku!

I tried on a pair of TOMS - not for me.

My tabby gave me some serious face.

I got a gold and coral mani-pedi (Essie's Shifting Power and California Coral)

This is what I have to leave most mornings when I go to work.

Michigan Family Vacation

We were in Michigan all last week with my family, and it was so much fun!  There were over 20 of us in one house, including siblings, in-laws, and tons of little nieces and nephews.  We celebrated a couple of birthdays and the 4th of July together.

In Indiana, we stopped by a fireworks store to stock up for the 4th.

I love my family so much and feel blessed to enjoy who they are now that we're all adults.  I highly recommend Lake Michigan for a big family vacation that's relaxed and fun.
